The children (and teachers) got a big surprise at assembly today when I walked out to address the children wearing their school uniform.  Lots of smiles and giggles. We teach up to Class 5 here and I was introduced as the first Class 6 student. But I’m afraid I would fail the entrance exam for class 6 because it included Swahili.

It has been a fun day of sitting in classrooms and taking class photos.

Talking to the assembly this morning was especially meaningful for me. And I made a promise that I need some of you back at home to help me keep. I promised to visit schools in Canada and talk about these children and their school.

I'm still Uncle Jim. Doesn't matter that I'm a student today.
