Sorry for not posting each day individually but things can sometimes get busy.
Thursday was breaking up the large rocks into more manageable sizes for handling and fitting around the foundation.
Here are a few of the guys resting after unloading the lumber.
Friday was spent hand mixing the cement on the ground & pouring the piles and building the forms so that by supper time we had come far.
But Friday was also time for celebrating Cathy’s birthday. It began with the kids carrying out 3 birthday cakes singing and dancing to meet her and then throwing bougainvillea flowers and sprinkling her with water (a Kenyan tradition). Janet had made fried chicken and the kids had spiced rice and pop with cake as well. A time of fun!
