Good morning all, hope everyone had a good weekend as we did.
On Friday we had a smaller group of around 80 children, the group was small because the older girls were getting their hair done.
For the story, we read Luke Chapter 18, verses 15-17 which is when Jesus blesses the children. We thought that was a very fitting story, giving our children the truth that they don’t need to think that just because they were once orphaned that Jesus will not have time for them. That story is also a nice reminder for the adults that we need to be as humble, and loving as our children are.
Our activities in the afternoon were filled with the classic field game, the wheel barrel race. Which went really well, it served as great entertainment as well as a team building exercise. Finally Gold won an entire event,winning the race five times.
Inside,our bracelet making group became larger with having at least 12 children.
All in all it was a great day with the kids and we are looking forward going into our second week here.
Please pray for the upcoming week as we prepare for the Crusade, and pray that people’s hearts and mind will be prepared for what God wants them to hear.
