The younger kids.
This is just one of the many things that take place here. We buy bags of peanuts (not just any bag, three BIG bags). And after Sunday School all the kids gather around the porch to shell peanuts. The chatter is endless as they visit and laugh. This is one of the striking things about this place. There is joy and laughter always.

And I learned the rules of shelling peanuts. If there are 3 in the pod you can eat 1. If there are 5 in the pod you can eat 2. And all of this will be turned into a treat for the kids. They are salted and roasted in oil. The very best of what life has to offer.
